Club Systems and HDID Media are looking for a talented and creative Social Media Executive to join its ambitious Content and Marketing Team.

Job duties:

Coordinate social media content creation and social media posting for: HowDidiDo, Golfalot, and Club Systems.

  • Work closely with Content and Marketing Team to create engaging, creative and innovative social media content including adhoc and regularly scheduled posts for HDID Media brands.
  • Work with HowDidiDo/Golfalot brand partners to support social media content with commercial partnership agreements.
  • Create regular internal and external social media content plans.
  • Regular audits and analysis of social media performance producing quarterly performance and analytics reports.
  • Analyse social media campaigns with tracking systems, e.g. bit.ly links, to gather visitor data and determine efficiency and areas for social media campaign improvement.
  • Carry out paid social media advertising by managing budgets and campaigns.
  • Monitor competitor activity within social media spaces.
  • Regular research of social media platforms and industry trends to maximise potential within industry.
  • Write quarterly internal staff newsletter. 

Annual salary: Dependent upon experience
Location: Head Office - Manchester City Centre
as well as some opportunity to work on-location at golf events and various content shoots
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day output on all social media channels for HDID Media, with support of the Content Manager and other content team members. They will be tasked with producing engaging and high-quality golf social media content that will develop brand engagement and following across multiple platforms.

Candidate must have a thorough understanding of the correct use of language and the creativity needed to write engaging and interesting content, whilst having a keen eye for detail. Candidate should have some understanding of search engine optimisation and best practices for online writing.

Strong and confident communication skills to work well as part of a team in an office environment as well as at events, press trips and content shoots are a must. A successful Social Media Executive will have experience of golf and will work well under pressure to carry out the following job duties to a high standard.

Requirements

Essential Job Requirements:

  • A passion and understanding of golf.
  • Strong knowledge of using following social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn.
  • A team player – passionate about supporting colleagues and working together to deliver campaigns with real impact.
  • A level head and ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Creative flare and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills, experience working as part of a team, and a keen eye for detail.
  • Candidates will be prepared to work outside of office hours on social media posting during golf tournaments.

Desirable Job Requirements:

  • Qualification in Marketing or Social Media, web proficiency, computer software proficiency, copywriting content creation, proofreading, interpersonal skills.
  • Basic Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop video and image editing skills.
  • Experience of creating social media creative and graphics.
  • Experience editing videos for social media and YouTube publication.
  • Experience of using social media scheduling platforms such as Hootsuite and TweetDeck.
  • Experience of using Bit.ly, Google UTM codes.
  • Basic understanding of Google Analytics.
  • Some media or golf industry experience working in content creation or marketing.
  • Background of copywriting in previous work.
  • Candidate will be a member of a golf club and knowledge of how golf club membership works.
  • Candidate will have extensive knowledge of professional game, including PGA, DP World, LPGA and Ladies European Tours.
  • Understanding and experience of golf media titles including HowDidiDo and Golfalot.
